SLJ a place to stand

1.  New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia.

2. New Zealanders are also called kiwis but kiwi is not a fruit. It is New Zealand’s native flightless bird.

3.New Zealand is one of the world’s least populated countries with over 4 million populations.

My name is Hasiba and I am from the Summer Learning Journey team! Thanks for sharing such great facts about New Zealand! I live Auckland city, with a population of 1.6 million people! If New Zealand only has a population of 4 million people and ¼ of them are in Auckland, you can imagine how busy it gets here. I would love to visit Greymouth, I have heard it is very beautiful and peaceful! Your second fact is one of my favourites! I love how us New Zealanders call ourselves kiwi after the flightless bird (and not the fruit). A lot of people in other countries must get confused.
This is a great first post! What is your favourite fact about New Zealand?
